New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) will announce the list of candidates after the official start of the election campaign, said YAP Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov.
Ahmadov said that various criterias, as well as the chance of being elected are taken into account in determining of the candidates: “New Azerbaijan Party has always paid attention to the determination of candidates. Successful candidates have always been in the focus of our attention”.
Ahmadov did not rule out the rejuvenation which would be done in the list of New Azerbaijan Party: “Rows of YAP have expanded in recent years, there appeared intellectuals distinguished with their activity. All these will be taken into account in determination of list of New Azerbaijan Party”.
The YAP official said that the party has taken stance towards the young and women during the municipal elections of 2009: “In any case, votes of electors are necessary for representation of the candidate at the parliament. The fact that the candidate is young, or woman, does not give grounds to speak about any success during elections at concrete district”.
