Azerbaijan Government resigns
Azerbaijan Government resignsAzerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has dissolved the Government in connection with his re-elections to the post of head of state.
Presidential Elections were held in Azerbaijan on 15 October. Ilham Aliyev, a candidate of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, took the victory gaining the overwhelming majority of votes.
The composition of the dissolved Government of Azerbaijan:
Prime minister – Artur Rasizade,
First deputy premier – Yagub Eyyubov,
Deputy premier – Elchin Efendiyev,
Deputy premier, head of the State Committee on refugees and internally displaced people – Ali Hasanov,
Deputy premier – Abid Sharifov,
Minister of Foreign Affairs – Elmar Mammadyraov,
Minister of Interior Affairs – Ramil Usubov,
Minister of National Security – Eldar Mahmudov,
Defense Minister – Safar Abiyev,
Justice Minister – Fikret Mammadov,
Minister of defense industry – Yaver Jamalov,
Finance minister – Samir Sharifov,
Taxes Minister – Fazil Mammadov,
Minister of economic development – Heydar Babayev,
Minister of emergency situations – Kamaladdin Heydarov,
