Key mistake of Azerbaijani opposition is to establish its policy based on foreign support: Editor-in-chief
Key mistake of Azerbaijani opposition is to establish its policy based on foreign support: Editor-in-chiefThe key mistake of the Azerbaijani opposition is that they establish their policy based of the foreign support.
“The key mistake of the opposition is that they take a great interest in the foreign factors and established their policy based on this factos,” member of opposition Musavat Party, editor-in-chief of Yeni Musavat newspaper, Rauf Arifoglu, told TrendNews on 23 October.
He said that already the foreign factor is against the Azerbaijani opposition and this should be confessed.
Arifoglu said that all international forces, institutions in the democratic countries, the countries representing democracy displayed an open interest to work with Ilham Aliyev.
“Formerly they did not display their interest openly because there was strong opposition in the country. But now nobody takes into consideration the position of the opposition. NATO, Council of Europe, USA and other Western states, international institutions do not proceed from the interests of the Azerbaijani opposition. Russia’s position up to now is clear. Therefore, the Azerbaijani opposition should remove this mistake and establish its activity without foreign factor,” Arifoglu said.
The editor-in-chief considers that the opposition parties should unite if necessary to unite or if necessary to participate in big political campaign.
Arifoglu said that the opposition parties had to assess the situation and participate in the presidential election with single candidate and shouldn’t have given up the opportunity to address the people and show their worth.
“The opposition gave this opportunity to Hafiz Hajiyev and others. But they could come together and determine a single candidate. The opposition gave up this chance. The State Head Ilham Aliyev and his team try to work based on the model of relation with people. To be amongst people, meet with them and deliver messages to the society is a classic model of our activists. All these were the technologies that we formerly carried out. The propagandists of the candidate from the ruling party traveled all territories of the country, met with different layers of population and disseminated the messages of Ilham Aliyev,” he said.
Arifoglu said that the representatives of Azerbaijani opposition did not go outside Baku. He stated that the force of opposition is people and its support. There are different ways to gain this support. The editor-in-chief said that the demonstration is not only tool of relation with people. “The opposition leaders can go to the public places, tea houses, markets and parks and meet with people and make visits to regions,” he said. /Trend/
