Rector of Baku State University, member of Political Board of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Abel Maharramov called on opposition parties of Azerbaijan to support Ilham Aliyev. Abel Maharramov told APA that he had done this before the presidential elections and some oppositionists supported the authorities during the elections.

The parliamentarian said it was important to continue those measures.
“I am sure that the process will further strengthen. The presidential elections showed once more that every Azerbaijani is a patriot. Everybody is happy to see common achievements. That’s why the relations between the authorities and opposition will be regulated and contribute to our common work,” he said.

Abel Maharramov underlined that he would continue to call on the opposition to support Ilham Aliyev.
“We made a great progress in the elections. This progress allowed regulating the relations between the authorities and opposition,” he said. /APA/
